[RP] Chapter 1: The Beginning of it all

(( This starts right after the thread "The Space Station Global Cortex" ))

"Sometimes I wonder, why is it that people fight over stupid things like ego's? When they can just talk it out?" Kariou wondered to himself. "Maybe thats just how its supposed to be." He said out loud. He stood up from his bed inside of his quarters, which were surprisingly roomy for such a small room. "I guess I should go and see what the crew is up to." He walked out of his door, the lights in his room turn off, as he walks down the hall and outside, heading towards another building marked 'OPERATIONS'.

"I hope today is better then yesterday." Arc thought to himself. He finishes putting his shoes on and walked out the door, and starts walking down the hallway towards the building marked 'OPERATIONS'.

Kariou spots Arc. "Good morning Arc!" He waves to him, as he does a faster walk towards him. Kariou's Room is at the end of the hall, just at the corner, and Arc's Room is somewhere closer to the Operations building. "Hey Arc, wait up!"

Arc stops and turns toward Kariou. "Hey kariou i was wondering if anybody else was up yet." Arc continues to stand still as he waits for Kariou to catch up. "I wonder what everybody else is doing any Idea?" he says to kariou.

"Well, I believe they are all in the Operations Breifing Room. You know... This is our first day here. I wonder how its going to go." The whole troop was uplifted to a new area, this included Kariou, Arc, and many of their troop-mates, what country they were in, they couldnt remember, but they were told by the Space Station, Global Cortex, that they needed to be there, to hold down a specific area until something arived, what... they werent informed. "By the way Arc... Have you happened to see 'siken' around here?"

"No i haven't seen him. The only person i have seen is you ." Arc walks into the building labeled 'OPERATIONS'. "Lets get this over with shall we."

Siken waits idlely in the 'OPERATIONS' room laying down streched out in the couch. "Man Im starting to fall asleep here.. Wish they would hurry up." He said to himself.

((Pushing ahead so I dont reveal too much of the building so soon))

Kariou entered the Ops breifing entrance room with Arc. "Hello Amy, how are you this fine morning." Amy looked up, nodded and returned to her work. "Ok, not feeling talkative today I see." He made a look that expressed his surprize. "Alright Arc time to go in." Kariou passed Amy's desk and opened the door to the Ops briefing room. "Siken there you are! By the way, I never caught your real name."

Arc walks past Amy and looks around the room trying to find somewhere to sit. "Ah there's a spot." he says to himself and sit down in the nearest chair.

Jumps up shocked. "Finally! Geez what took you guys so long?" He begins to rubs his eyes and looks up at Kariou. "Err.. Yeah.. Its Train. Try talking to Amy? She's a real stiff huh?" Sighs.

Kariou coughed hoping Train would notice that he was the superior officer, and that type of talk outside of the housing area is unacceptable. "Yes, Amy isnt the quite talkative person. But we are working on getting her to open up." He took his place at head of the table, and logged into the PC at the head of the table. The Projector flicked on, and had on it 'Please wait, loading'

Siken chuckles nervously scratching his head, he sensed something was wrong with the way he addressed Kariou. He walks over and sits on the side of the table.

Arc turned his attention towards where the projector was. "I wonder what kind of things we are gonna get into here." he thought to himself.

Siken nudges Arc against his arm. "Nothing thats going to get us killed of course ^-^" he stated jokingly.

"I hope not it would suck to die at such a young age." he murmured. While still looking at the projector.

Staring at the projector comming up he turns to Kariou.

Kariou stands from his seat and hits a key on the keyboard. "Good morning all." (cue to stand) "You are all here because you all happen to be the best of the best in Global Cortex. This morning you will be briefed as to why you are here, and what we will be doing here. This afternoon you will have your required training, and this evening you will be given some downtime to prepare for the next day. I am your Superior, Lord Kariou Shomei of the Raven Knights. Right now, before I start the presentation, I open the floor to comments."

Arc stands up. "The best of tha best eh?" he glances over at train. "If you say so." He looks back at kariou. "What will you have me do?"

Siken stands and bows towards Kariou. "Sir, how hard will this mission be?"
Turns to stare at Arc...

"If there are no real comments, we shall continue to the presentation." He pressed a few keys on the keyboard. "The reason why we are all here, is to make sure that the armored convoy gets here safely, and is able to set up for their mission. Each of you have your jobs that I will give to you." He tapped a few keys. "Arc, your job is to train your team, make sure that they are in top shape for when the convoy gets here. From then on I will give you your orders. You will be piloting a platoon of basic Cores, you can pick them up at the Garage. Train, your job is to assist James, our Satilite tracker, in tracking the Armored Convoy." James stands and nods, then returns to his seat. "Now, Any questions?"

"When is the convoy supposed to be getting here.?" Arc now had a serious look on his face. "What are the chances that there will be an attack on the convoy?"

"The convoy should get here in a matter of months at the rate they are moving, providing the nessisarry stops aswell. As for the chances it will be attacked, we are unsure, but when there is an emergency with the convoy we will notify your team."

"No questions here sir." Siken salutes towards arc and kariou.

"That is all i needed to know." Arc begins to make his way towards the door. "If you dont mind i will take my leave. I have a lot of work i need to do to prepare."

Rushing, Arc passes Ryu and on his way out... Ryu continues on to speak to Kariou whom he just heard dismiss the crew... sir? SIR? He turns to him with a bit of annoyance. People also stare at Ryu, some quite snickers, or some at awe... Ryu salutes... "I overslept in the barracks. I've had trouble sleeping lately before I joined, sir. I apologize for my mistake... what have I missed in the briefing?" he said huffing, face red as a dark cherry... forehead slightly prespiring I sincerely hope he doesn't stiff me while I'm standing looking quite foolish here. Looking with his perhipharal seeing everyone there looking at him...
